    6GB for $60 does exist!

    Hey Guys,

The plan everyone is talking about, $60 for 6GB with extras, is an old one. Only employees with proper knowledge in customer service or retention departments can activate this plan for you.

As you see in the attached I have the following:

    200 weekday minutes,
    6pm early evening calling,
    unlimited weekends,
    unlimited incoming,

Also included in this plan is the following (directly from site):
    Billed Usage-Invoice Details
    LTE 6GB Shared Data
    Messaging Bundle Unlimited
    Call Forwarding/Call Transfer
    MY10 Canada-wide Talk & Text

This plan was provided to me for $60 and then I added the voice msg/call display for $7.00

So at the end of the day I am paying $75 with a peace of mind

Hope all goes well for you and do not bargain to much, give a strong argument - "I was offered... with Bell, planning to move especially as my parents are also trying to get new phones/plans... what kind of competitive package you got to offer?"

I think you can capture some of their attention by giving them some possibility of introducing new clients (parents/siblings) but let them know you first want to see what you can get as you wait on their decision,

    Good luck!

Reading the Rogers Retention forums on RFD, I don't know how this dude pulled it off.

"Called in today to renew my credits that expired last month on two lines:

Both these lines were added during July 2010, right before the iPhone 4 release, arguably the "golden era" of retentions

    Line 1:
    17.50 plan: 200 weekday. E/W from 6 etc
    6GB data
Value Pack (2500 SMS, VM, CID)
    Rogers to Rogers
    Unlimited Incoming

    Total: 56.63 after tax

    Line 2:
Same as above but 500mb data (Use a BB Bold)

    Total: 46.63 after tax

Wasn't expecting them to match or renew, but to my surprise the rep changed the Rogers to Rogers to Unlimited Network Calling, and kept the price the same at a 3 year renewal, along with a HUP to a Bold 9900 on the second line.

Needless to say I am very pleased with this result.

The rep also noted that I could do my HUP in the fall for line 1, and could renew the contract for either two or three years from that point.

Good luck guys, and I bet some of you could get similar results .

FWIW I have all services with Rogers (3 Wireless, Home Phone, Cable and Internet) and have been a customer for about 20 years. "

Just got off the phone with Customer Relations, with all that mumbo jumbo and magically their system says I can get a $5.00 if I sign a 3 year contract.

This is the most they can do for me "now", I've rejected it and will be calling mid week again.

This is really crazy, a $10 credit for 3 years goes a long way for both sides.

Every time I call in, they use the $17.50 EPP against me and states it's 50% off all VP.

Best offer I received was the "Super 6GB" / $60.

They couldn't extend any credits on my 17.50 plan.

I ended up switching all 3 lines to a corp plan that I was eligible for. Month to month for now and will wait for better days.

I called retentions today and this is what I will get for $52.50 + tax.
    200 wkday / unlimited weeknights/weekends after 6pm
Value pack (VM, CID, 2500 text messages, unlimited incoming)
    100 minutes Canadian LD
$5 discount on my 6GB data for 24 months
This is a month to month contract, and they also removed the GRRF.

BTW, apparently Rogers is moving away from the bundled discounts. If you guys still have those, better keep them.

Looks alright. That's about where I'm coming from, but $47.13 before tax.

    What's a bundled discount?

I'm also trying to debate about getting new hardware. I'm currently happy with my Nexus 4 purchased unlocked, so don't need anything. However, what happens a year down the road, when you do upgrade on 2 year contract. Do you credits extend to the end of the contract, or does the expiry date stay fixed.
If i get a good plan, why not lock in a 2 year contract, get subsidized hardware to resell?

    What I ended up with:
    Talk Text & Internet 1GB=
    UL weekday minutes
    UL weekend/nights
    1GB DATA
    UL TXT
    VM
    CAD LD
    57.75 tax included.

    Certainly not stellar.

Bundled discounts are applied if you have two or more Rogers services.

The most I believe was 4% off.

I've had this plan for a while now

    My 10 canada wide
    200 daytime
    unlimited evenings/weekends
    mini vm
    call id
    unlimited texting
    1gb data
    $50.43 after taxes a month

now I guess apps are more data hungry and seem to keep going over 1gb that I have. Considering that I'm returning to school, should I call them to see if they have a 2gb plan available for under $55 or just stick to what I got considering it's cheaper than what I've been seeing lately. (plan is also for sale if anyone might be interested, I've got about 18 months left)

There's no way you're going to get 2gb for under $55 right now, so I'd stick with what you have... Or call in and ask if they can give you a data bonus or something while you consider your options.

My plan just went up almost $20 and I lost 100 Minutes of Daytime calling:

    200 Minutes
    100 Bonus Minutes (Now Expired)
    6pm Early Evening Calling
    6GB LTE Data
    Unlimited Incoming
Unlimited Network Calling (includes Fido, Rogers and Rogers Home Phone)
    100 Canadian Long-Distance
    Call Display
    Name Display
    Enhanced Voicemail
    2500 Sent/Unlimited Received Text Messages
    Call Forwarding/Call Transfer

    Went from $38.53 + tax to $57.73 + tax.

I guess the Retention party is over.

Problem is, I don't think I can get a better plan from anywhere else so now I'm stuck.

If anyone lucks out with a better plan, please let us know!

3 yrs ago I changed to a great plan but the 3 year credits are up now and I have been trying to simply negotiate to have the same plan with the same credits...and I'm not having much luck!

    My plan is:

    Unltd NA calls
    Unltd NA txts
Call display, VM, video msg, etc
    6GB data

    Total cost: $98 with $25 in credits ($10, $10, $5) so $73 before tax.

In 2010 that was an insanely awesome plan. Now, 3 years later the wireless landscape is much more competitive. Wind for example has the $40 unltd Canada-wide talk, txt and data deal. I realize Wind is not at the same level of Rogers (trust me, they told me this a zillion times) but I use my phone in Toronto and at my cottage (which uses the Rogers network) so I am not too concerned about Wind's lack of coverage in Saskatchewan!

I am generally very good at getting good offers from Rogers, but not this time. They clearly want me off my current plan as they continually have tried to get me to change to a lesser plan. Each suggestion would give me considerably less than what I currently have for roughly the same price as what I pay now...with that $25 monthly credit.

My feeling is that I am happy with the service and the price I pay. I do not want a lesser plan. All I want is to pay $73/month as I have been these last 3 years. I have taken this matter to the 'Office of the President' level of mgmt, but the best I can get is a $10 & a $5 monthly credit ($15 total). On principle, I do not feel I should pay 13-14% more for the same plan. That's 2-4 times inflation. F that!

Is it possible to have Rogers apply a manual credit for the additional $10 each month (which would keep me in line with what I have been paying the last 3 yrs)? I'm really frustrated at how difficult they are making this especially seeing as I am not asking for anything beyond what I have been getting the last 3 years. You'd think it would be a no brainer given that I've been with them for 11 yrs now.

    Any advice?

Your question is, is it possible for them to apply a manual credit. Of course it is. Are they willing. Apparently not. Might be time to seek greener pastures, but from what one sees and reads, all pastures are pretty poor right now.
