Razr maxx HD sd card too big!?!?

I got a good deal on a 64GB micro sd card last week, and dummy me didn't look up the specs on the phone for maximum size supported. I was wondering if there was anything I could do to get this card to work in my phone? I've tried adding a partition to the card making it look like a 30 gb card but the phone refuses to mount the card. I used the program 'mini tool partition wizard'. Does any other program out there work? Any help would be greatly appreciated. If I happen to get it to work somehow on my own I'll let you all know. Thanks.

Format the card to Fat32 on your PC before putting it in your phone.

If using Windows an easy way to do this is to download and use "guiformat".

Thanks gbh2. I did exactly as you said and put the card in my phone. For some reason it recognized the card at 64gb. Not sure what happened but my phone is using the full 59.46 gb available. Just for the heck of it i put 40gb worth of movie files on it and it and it didn't crash. Thanks for letting me know about "guiformat"!
