I've noticed the last week or so my download speeds are always less than 4mb/s, which was the original throttle cap. My uploads are less than 1mb/s. For real world usage it's fast enough for the most part, but a month ago my speeds were 5.5-7mb/s down and 2.5-4.5mb/s up.

I think I'm going to switch to Go Phone when this month expires. My normal usage is about 1-1.5gb a month so Go Phone will have enough data, and it should also be snappier because AIO uses a proxy server so ping times are on the high side. Monthly costs should be the same since you can find discounts on Go Phone.

Talk to their support line. They need to reprovision your account. Same thing happened to me.

You can get a really well designed HOLO app that does, if it matters to you.

    Aio help

I'm coming from at&t and i was hoping someone could help a little. My Nokia 808 got flagged So i need to purchase a data plan which isn't bad but Hate to spend the extra specially when i use slightly over 2 gb of internet a month and a Aio store just opened up in my location about two days ago So I'm wondering if you guys think it would be worth giving them a try? Keep in mind at&t is the only service that works in my area also is voice and messaging the same as on at&t? And as far as data speeds on the gophone plan i average around 2 to 5 mb down So i don't think the speed would be to bad for me. Just trying to get some advice before i have to renew my service.

Besides the porting fee, their $55 plan should be great for you.

also is the 55 a flat rate or are there hidden fees that bring it up? And i was looking back on some of the post and wasn't sure what the ping time was?

Its a flat $55. The ping is 200-300 ms on hspa and LTE is a tad lower (faster). This translates to a "burst" kind of browsing. (Loads fast, but shoots content at once)

that doesn't seem to bad but wouldn't that effect streaming content?

Nope. YouTube is good, GP Music caches and streams fine.

A 1.5 GB OS update (custom ROM) downloaded fine. I'm not sure if that counts

Large file downloads and streaming are really only affected by the available bandwidth (throughput). The only time larger ping values (higher latency) can really be noticed is when web browsing and you are waiting for numerous connections to be opened up back and forth.

That being said, 200ms is around what I've seen on average and that's not really bad at all for browsing or any other mobile use.

Precisely. The ping is not noticeable to me... The most irking thing is when I have signal, but it switches between hspa and LTE. The connection always times out. I think its an AT&T thing though
