    Cheapest LTE capable phone

I was wondering, what would be att's cheapest LTE capable phone? Either brand new or used from somewhere. I need a phone to test with and don't want to spend a lot. Operating system doesn't matter. Thanks.

Samsung galaxy express. Can be purchased for $250 brand new in the box. Att sells it through their go phone prepaid division.

The cheapest phone may not always be what to buy, imo. If you are eligible for an upgrade, the samsung s3, and the note 2, which imo are two of the better devices are available for 29 and 150 as refurbs on the att web site, as well as several others. While I don't always get a refurb, I've never had an issue with them.

Samsung Focus 2 would also work if you can stand Windows Phone 7 like Nokia 900.

A used Pantech Burst can easily be had for under $100 on Craigslist and Ebay.

This is just a phone for testing. So I don't need anything expensive or fancy. I'm just trying to test out att LTE in my area.

I say current generation because my S4 has much better reception then my Note2. The 2013 qualcom chips seem to have taken a big step in performance. I would go to an ATT store and pick out a current generation phone and sign up. You have 14 days buyers remorse and can return it. Second option would be to buy an unlocked from Amazon and return it when done, I have never had an issue returning stuff to Amazon.

Could you elaborate? I've not noticed a lot of difference among the several sams I've used, from the captivate, infuse, sam3, note 1 and note 2. Non as good as my old moto razr dumbphone. Haven't tried their droid. I wanted to get a s4 and it is faster than the note 2, but once I got use to the bigger screen of the original note (I know, I made fun of it too initially), it's really hard to go back to smaller one. I still use my s3 occ'ly and it drives me nutty when trying to read stuff on it. Decided to wait it out for the note 3.
