AIO APN settings (data and MMS)

I've been reading about AIO as I wait for my sim. Some people are using att APN settings and others the NDO Aio settings. Any preference or difference in speed?

What about MMS? On my iPhone 5 I have to do the Tmo SIM card swap to enter mms settings. Will I have to continue this to get mms to work on iPhone?

    Thanks in advance.

It doesn't seem to make any difference for general data. Either way I get the additional latency, which really isn't a complaint at 7GB for $70. The data is plenty fast for my needs.

I don't use MMS, so haven't tried MMS with various APNs. I use virtual numbers for most things so that I can switch phones easily, and they don't support MMS anyway.

The ndo APN handles MMS just fine. On an iPhone 5, you shouldn't have to do any tricks, as an aio carrier bundle with all the correct settings should get pushed out to the phone after you activate it.

I assume since you're using the T-Mobile SIM swap to enter settings currently, that you are on Straight Talk?

I also notice no speed or latency differences across ndo, phone, or wap.cingular APNs.

I was using the sim swap method on H2O and Airvoice for MMS on data.

I am using a slight variation. I've highlighted my changes in bold in the quote above.

My Nexus 4 was not picking up this setting automatically like it did on T-Mobile. Adding the above finally allowed me to get an Internet connection with Aio Wireless.

I was a moron and included spaces after each comma. Don't do that.

When I use these APN settings with my Galaxy Nexus, apps that use data work fine (weather, browser, FB etc). However, email with the native android client does not sync. I get an error notification saying that my email accounts cannot log in. Soon as I get to a location with WiFi, all my emails sync. I used to use Simple Mobile and this was happening. I switched to an AT&T Straighttalk sim and everything worked. Now with AIO, the problem is back again. Anyone else?

    MCC : 310
    MNC : 150
    Authentication type : None

Should be asked in the Cricket/AIO forum. This is the now just the GoPhone forum.

So you'd rather post in the GoPhone forum, where users who don't know anything about AIO or Cricket apns will read it? And can't help you?

There are some former AIO users in here who switched to GoPhone. But since AIO is now merged with Cricket, they probably don't know either...

Your best bet for help is in the Cricket/AIO forum.

The mods have been very nice to move the AIO topics to Cricket/AIO forum. So this one will probably be moved too.
