AT&T iPhone 4s - which MVNOs can I transfer to?

I currently have an iPhone 4s on AT&T and would like to switch to an MVNO for cheaper service, while keeping my phone and number.

    What are my options?

Okay. You first need to make sure your iphone is unlocked. Check if your iphone is unlocked at http://iphoneimei.info/
If your iphone is not unlocked, get it unlocked here http://howardforums.com/8VEqOY

Once your iphone is unlocked, here are some carriers that would work

AIO wireless is a new carrier that just came out. They use AT&T's network. http://www.aiowireless.com/en.html
    StraightTalk will also work. http://howardforums.com/lm3b4x
    Solavei is also new. http://howardforums.com/Sx9gVu

    I recommend Airvoice Wireless.
Current Phones: HTC Evo LTE (Ting), ZTE Avail 2 (Airvoice Wireless)

Element Mobile - The mess of a carrier that happens you merge Verizon and Alltel but Verizon cannot have all of Alltel towers!

AT&T mvno's do not require that an AT&T phone be unlocked.

I recommend Straight Talk ($45/month for unlimited talk, text, and about 1.5GB data). If you're more or less techy, you should be able to get MMS working. although it does take a little doing. The straight talk forum here provides a lot of help, including the FAQ.

What is your usage pattern like?

How much voice/SMS/data do you use per month?
    Where do you need coverage?

About half a gig of data per month. Don't need too much voice or texts.

    How is Consumer Cellular?
