    Samsung Galaxy Legend

Found last night at Wal-Mart in Claremont, NH. Shelf tag is obviously wrong, but it has to be near this price with the specs.

Found this link regarding this phone:

Appears to be another LTE phone from last year that is being recycled for prepaid & 3g only. Article claims it was originally the Galaxy Stellar.

Our Walmart has those for $129. I wish they would get a phone with a screen more than 4 inches.

The specs are in line with my Galaxy Express - $129 would be a steal. S4 Plus CPU + 1GB of RAM is not exactly entry level, though the 4" screen might be.
Castrol EDGE 5W-30 is my drug of choice.

    Primary: iPhone 6 64GB, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Avant: 5 lines, 3x $5 Android web, 1x $2.99 T-Zones, corp discount + $10/mo loyalty discount = $93/mo tax inclusive
Secondary: Galaxy S3 LTE & iPhone 4S: TracFone (Verizon)
    Mobile Broadband: HP Stream 13 w/ T-Mobile 4G & iPad Mini Retina w/ T-Mobile 4G LTE ($10/mo for 5GB with hotspot)

I wouldn't consider this to be an entry-level phone, either. Those are the LG Optimus Zone or even the Samsung Illusion.

I picked up the Galaxy Legend on Friday and have been quite impressed with it. Its pretty speedy, and it has great battery life. Regular price is $129, I got it for $109 and Best Buy has it on sale this week for $99.

A question about the speaker volume on the legend. How loud is the ringer and speaker volume? I want a loud speaker. I can sacrifice camera and flash but not speaker volume. So its between the legend and LG exceed which ever has the loudness speaker volume.

Verizon Wireless is now selling the Samsung Galaxy Legend through its prepaid service. The device is also known as the Stellar. The Legend is an entry-level Android smartphone. It has a 4-inch WVGA screen, 3.2-megapixel main camera, 1.3-megapixel user-facing camera, 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM, and 4GB of built-in storage. The Galaxy Legend includes Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy, GPS, and Wi-Fi, but does not offer LTE 4G. It is limited to Verizon's EVDO 3G network. It runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and includes Samsung's TouchWiz user interface and associated apps/services. The full retail price of the Legend is $249.99, but Verizon is selling it for $129.99.

That sticker says "New Plan! $50 Unlimited Talk, Text & 1GB data" "Only at Walmart"

I must have missed this before or is that brand new?

Verizon is selling this for $79.99. Maybe the Walmart price includes the 1st month of service.

I think you're forgetting about the $35 activation fee that phones bought on verizonwireless.com come with. The Walmart price does not include the first month of service.

Verizon is currently waiving the activation fee if you buy a phone online and activate it on a prepaid monthly plan

Then that is a real bargain buying it at Verizon for $80.

I didn't even realize there was one. Yeswap says thats being waived right now so at $80 its a slam dunk deal.

    I'm thinking about this myself.

I don't see that $50 1 gig smartphone plan on Verizon's website - is that new and available only at Walmart?
