Can't expect much from a 3 year old phone but it's not too bad.

The best phone you can put on them is probably the Epic 4g Touch /Galaxy S2. They are available on eBay for around 78$. If I didn't already wait about 6 weeks for my HTC Evo 4g to arrive, I would have given that a shot.

Thanks for the reply, I am going to stick with a Gingerbread ROM for the time being. I want to play around with the 4G and front facing camera which won;t work on higher OS versions.

For now, the HTC Evo 4G is no worse than my old HTC Droid Incredible.

yi, seems like data rollover is a service you can use with this phone plan. $3.99 to roll over your unused data per month-up to 500 mb.

    Fred,

You are able to sign up for the roll over service with your phone account. You can add it at Freedompop.com.

I had an evo in the drawer and fired it up for this. 20 bucks to activate. I am in a area with no 4g, but have wifi 90% of my day. The rest of the time it has given me zippy 3g data and my calls have been ok. Some drop... but some do with my normal phone that is using page plus as well. I had been using a freedom pop with the overdrive pro for data, but might let it go as this is a better deal and when I open up the EVO as a hotspot I have gotten faster data rates as well.

How did you get hotspot to work? Is it perhaps bc you activated a BYO Sprint device? I bought the Freedompop Evo 4g and hotspot doesn't work whether using native or Foxfi. Haven't tried rooting- think that would mess up the Freedompop firmware.
