    Activate Motorola M800 phone

I have a Motorola M800 phone hardwired/installed in a vehicle. This is not a BAG phone, but they might be the same?
This phone is not activated. It was on Alltel which is now AT&T? in Montana. They won't activate.

I have tried searching and it looks like it can be activated on Verizon or PagePlus.
I saw somewhere that this phone might not do over-the-air-programming, so I might have to enter settings by hand.
It would be nice if it would do OTAP but if it won't, where do I get the values for those settings?

What do I need to do to get this phone activated?

Verizon blacklisted every Alltel device earlier this year, however you can try VZW's online ESN checker to see if it'll pass. None of the Alltel ones I've tried work though, your only path with that device is using PagePlus.

    PagePlus is fine.
    Will it do OTA programming?
Do I need to manually enter programming info?
How do I make it happen?

When I power on the phone, I get an Alltel splash screen.
Then it ends with a message on the display that says "No Service".
It doesn't look like it has any signal strength bars.
I tried dialing 611. I get no response from the phone.

Is this normal without having the phone activated?
Shouldn't I get signal strength bars or does this phone not do that?
Did the Alltel towers get completely shut down in Montana so there isn't even any signal?

No signal means there's either no VZW service there or the phone is bad...

    Sent with the HoFo App
Mourning the loss of my Nextel i325 but still using a bag phone.

Can somebody that has one of these active send me a picture of the screen with it turned ON.
I'm can't remember now if it is saying "No Service" or if it is saying "No Signal". Could be a big difference.

ALSO. I need a programming manual or some way, somebody to tell me how to figure out if this is may be FORCED into maybe an "A" band only mode and maybe I need it to be on a "B" band to get Verizon signal.
If I can get a signal, I'm pretty sure that I can get it activated on PagePlus.

If I get a BAG phone, can I take it out and mount it?

Well now I'm in a bit of a bind, I decided to switch ESNs so that my bagphone isn't tied to my Verizon line anymore. The M800 isn't used enough to justify tying it down so I'm going to activate it on Page Plus.

To my surprise none of the OTA activation codes PP gave me worked. The M800 is trying to be too smart with the activation by changing the display and muting the speaker so I've got no idea what it's trying to do behind the scenes. Is there a trick to using the PP dialing codes to activate the M800 ?

Manual programming seems to be the only thing that works:
