    I would like to know about this also. I have a sprint galaxy s3 on page plus and I know there are workarounds to get mms to work (different messaging apps) but i am interested in what is stopping the stock messaging app from working with mms. If I can change the MMSC, proxy and port why does mms not work with the stock messaging app?

    What I have been doing is downloading GOSMSPRO https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...d=com.jb.gosms and changing the MMSC to the http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms It seems like outgoing works fine, but incoming won't fully download the pic

    Just use Google. You can edit some programming info to get native MMS to work. I came across it when doing the s3 YouTube fix.

    mkarps, are you saying you've got the stock app on the GS3 to do mms? I have changed the mmsc, proxy and port settings on the HTC One and mms send and receive work great with the stock app but I can't get it to work with the GS3. If you are saying it has worked for you i will keep looking. Thanks

    Yes. My sprint S3 was on page plus with stock MMS working. I'll see if I can dig up what I did but am working now. It is possible. I thought it was a setting in the hidden menu. Changing some .sprintpcs to vzw ....

    That would be great if you can find that info. I've got everything working on my sprint s3 except stock mms. The only solution i have been able to find involves apn backup which requires root. I know i could just download gosmspro or another app but I was hoping to get the stock app to do mms like i did on the htc one. thanks for your help

    Yeah actually that may be what I did. Something with an APN program.

    URL = http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms
    Proxy = 0.0.0.0
    Proxy Port = 0
    must reboot after change. wifi must be off to get pic and of course mobile data must be on. I think it is helpful to turn mms auto retrieve off.
    let me know if you have the same results

    The wifi off was the key thing I didn't find out until after some trial and error.

    that's strange, I have a verizon s3 i535 and I don't have to turn off wifi to get mms on stock app. Actually on my bionic or razr I never had to do it either.
