The main Straight Talk website at http://www.straighttalk.com is down. One gets a script error when trying to access it. The BYOP website is still reachable but one gets errors when trying links which refer back to the main website. A 500 Error is generated.

It is not working on my iPad. Could you be looking at a cached copy of the web page? Refresh the page.
It's down for me too.
Works here...there is something called maintenance, it happens.. relax.
I can log into my account if that helps
Is up for me, but it's been a few hours since the OP.
That was six hours ago. You do not get an Error 500 if you cannot even reach the URL. You get Error 404.

A 500 error isn't maintenance and it isn't an ISP error - it's an error with the code on the web page. (Officially it's "internal server error".) "Script error" is pretty much the same thing. It means that ST redid the page, but the programmer screwed up. (Trust me, if I had a dime for every 500 error I've written, my ST bill would be paid for a few years.)
It happens when the company won't put up an entire server for testing, so you have to write the new page online, and there's a typo. (Even a single wrong or missing character can cause a 500 error.)
Only programmers who are perfect have the right to complain about a server being down for a short time (minutes or a couple of hours) for problems like that. And the next one of those I meet will be the first one.
