    TF Android data question

I am thinking of getting an Android from TracFone. How does it deduct data? For a short session, does it deduct data in units of 1MB or something smaller? Also, does data carry over recharges?

Lastly, for a 200 minute card, is it 200 mins/text/MB each of them or all come from the same bank like old TracFone?

It appears to only deduct actual data used. You may toggle data off and use wifi for everything except mms (picture text messages). They don't send until data is toggled on. Then the size of the pic file is deducted.

Tracfone Androids "triple triple." So a 200 minute card would triple to 600 minutes, then get added to the phone as 600 minutes/600 texts/ 600 MB data.

Thanks, but is it 600 minutes talk AND text AND data or 600 of either one of them? So if I send 600 tests, do I still get 600 more minutes? Also, would data carry over?

600 talk minutes PLUS 600 texts PLUS 600 MB data. All minutes carry over, not just data.

How is an MMS charged on these new Androids? Data + Text or just Data?

I believe jimates said it is data + text. I believe he found that out when he tried to send an MMS when his text bucket was empty. The MMS did not go through.

Maybe jimates will check in and provide some info.

Also, I believe MMS will only go through with data enabled. MMS does not work on wifi. (Extra information. Not really relevant to your question. Just more hidden reasons why MMS might not work even though nothing is actually wrong.)
