    NTT Docomo GS4 and T-mobile

Help knowledgeable ones; I will soon move from Japan to the VA/Beltway area and have almost new Galaxy S4; Looks like T-Mobile will be the carrier I would like to use; any experience on whether phone will work with T-Mobile OR other carriers?
    Thanks
    Ron

none of Docomo phones support T-Mobile 3g/4G bands so you will only get edge 2G as for the phone working i suppose as long as the phone is unlocked it will work.
We lose as much as we gain through life, and that includes who we used to be.

I have this exact phone - it will not work on TMobile (which is the last carrier you should consider anyway, very spotty coverage). The phone works flawlessly on ATT or its MVNO's - since getting the phone, I've used it on Straight Talk and my data speed is HSPA almost all the time (unless I'm in the middle of nowhere). LTE will not work due to band differences.

Save yourself the hassle and just get the ATT sim card for Straight Talk.
