New Phone: ZTE Midnight in store

Went to one of my local Walmart stores. Saw this new model hanging there. Don't get excited...It said Android 2.3 and 3.5" screen. I can't believe they have released an Android 2.3 phone!!!

What is of interest to me is that the Midnight is a T-Mobile phone. This is the first time I have seen any ST/N10/Tracfone in my region (western NC) for T-Mo. I'm shocked really...T-Mo is clearly the #4 carrier in my mountainous region.

I looked on the activation page for ST and the Midnight is there. When I search to buy phones in my zip code, it brings up several GSM models but no Midnight. I did manage to find this:

    Talk about a disappointment

Speculation is that the Midnight is actually a rebranded ZTE Concord from T-Mobile's prepaid line up.

While in store today, I noticed these Midnight phones now have a red & white sticker on the box that says you get a free month of service with purchase.
