BYOP Razr Maxx to Straight Talk?

So, I went to the website:

    http://stbyop.com/straighttalk/index.html

And when I put in my phone info, a Razr Maxx on Verizon network, it said that it was eligible to transfer to Straight Talk. However, it seemed to indicate that it would be as a GSM phone. Does this sound right? That it would be on one of the other, non-Verizon, networks? I think I have read that the Maxx has both CDMA and GSM capabilities, so maybe this is why?

I really need to be on the Verizon network in my area to have coverage, so if this is the case, then I would need to get a different phone in order to switch to Straight Talk.

So, if I need to be on the verizon network with ST, I do need to get a different phone?

that is tricky also.i think verizon has suspended this program.but if i am wrong on this you have to use a non lte verizon phone and verizon has to aprove it.

other option is to buy a st branded smartphone that runs on the verizon network.i

as long as the verizon phone is 3G or older & non LTE and not a verizon prepaid phone
