AIO is only native AT&T coverage. Net10 and ST are AT&T along with roaming agreements that is very close to contract AT&T coverage.

Most that have been throttled are more than likely heavy users who use netflix, YouTube etc a lot .

Adds nothing to the discussion. I don't understand how using YouTube or even Netflix leads to throttling for people using 1.5 GBs of the data allotted to them.

FYI, when I used GoPhone last fall for a couple months, I was given a SIM card free at an AT&T Store.

I'm pretty pissed. After seeing post on other thread I texted 611611

"Based upon data available for your account as of 2014-02-19, estimated usage is 623.8MB since your last refill. Details click http://bit.ly/1lopdkY"

So I was throttled incorrectly, falsely!

you have continious data connection.for video it can be 100kps and up.if watching a 20min vid that is going for 20 min.with web surfing it will be a burst for a sec or two then usually a long pausethen on to the next site.

Just a heads up, I started complaining on their Facebook page, and I ended up trying the 611611 usage, which still showed me under a gig. I took a screenshot and posted that to the Facebook thread and I haven't gotten any response, but as of today my data does not seem to be being throttled anymore. Can someone else who was being throttled run a speed test to see if it was an error that they fixed, or if I just made a good enough case?

I had the same problem yesterday with Net10. Info from 611611 said that I used 538.7MB, but CS said I was throttled for hitting the 2.5GB cap. I finally got some help through Twitter, and the throttle was removed.

That answers my question net10 does throttle. But apparently not as much as ST because their thread isn't blowing up with throttle posts.

With Straight Talk there's also "secret" daily limits. You can't use your data as you please. They will throttle you even if you are nowhere near the monthly limit. And they well keep throttling you for the remainder of the billing cycle, as punishment. No, it's not fair.

Other prepaids like GoPhone let you use your 2GB data as you please.

Due to massive complaints and at least one lawsuit, Straight Talk finally admitted the monthly limit, but they still have the secret daily limit.

Your creed may be interesting, but your deeds are much more convincing.
