Is there a list of Verizon/CDMA phones I can use on Straight Talk Verizon towers?
There are Verizon phone's that you can activate on Straight Talk with their bring your own CDMA phone program. Most or all of these can be picked up used fairly cheaply on Ebay. Here's a fairly comprehensive list of the Verizon phone's that be activated on ST.
HTC Incredible 2
Palm Pixi Plus
Palm Pre Plus
Palm Pre 2
Motorola Droid 2
Motorola Droid 3
Motorola Droid X
Motorola Droid X2
Motorola Droid Pro
another thing to remember on top of the list posted above.be sure and check that the phone is not blacklisted by verizon.
I am looking on EBAY and they advertise that the phone has a clean ESN with Verizon so I assume it is not on blacklist but is "UNLOCKED" still an issue. Most don't advertise or know if a phone is UNLOCKED when it's a Verizon. Does it relate to Verizon cdma phones? Thanks.
I am new to the BYOP plan. I am looking at a couple of phones on ebay from this list. They obviously not include SIM cards, and need a SIM to operate. Do I need to purchase a ST sim as well as an access code for it to work? Any help would be greatly appreciated. My husband's ST branded is desperate need of replacement.
to purchase an access code as well an airtime card. ask the seller for the esn/meid and go here - http://swappa.com/esn
to make sure that the phone is ok to activate. if the seller refuses to give the esn/meid go to somebody else.
As October262 stated you won't need a SIM since the 3G CDMA phone's don't accept SIM cards. Instead you'll need to purchase the CDMA Access code from ST for $6.99.
