    Sensorly - LTE upgrade tracking

LTE in the little known town of Eldon, MO. This was previously 2G/GPRS last time I drove through it.

/Still nothing in Branson, you know, that little tourist trap that has 100,000+ people during its "season". Totally unusable EDGE there.

They really need to step up to the plate on I-44. At least Tulsa to OK City is looking better.

How do you set up the Sensorly app to send updates? I can see what others update.

If you are on ios, you can't. On Android, you use the map trip option.

So these updated maps are a result of Android only users?

The map seems to show some LTE now. Have you tried it lately?

Yes. I think we'd see more sightings if iOS user got mapping love.

Email Apple and tell them to let the app through!

If the RootMetrics app can map, I'm not sure why the Sensorly app can't :/. I think it's more of a developer issue at this point.

    Sensorly - LTE upgrade tracking

More upgrades in the Eldon, MO area, specifically along MO-52 between Eldon and Versailles.

Still no love for Branson, Missouri!

    Eldon map

The Eldon area maps are coming from me with the T-Mobile Tab 4. Didn't work on lte at all until around Oct. 15. Still getting Edge on my early version Galaxy S3.

Nope, it's Apple. Sensorly reads low level radio issues so that it knows exactly the carrier, signal and type. Root metrics gets a high level network connected type yes/no. Apple prohibits their customers from using their device in a way not approved by Apple and Apple has determined that their customers are too stupid to decide if an app should have read only access to low level radio information.

Here's where it gets bad. Example: If you are on AT&T and drive I80 through Wyoming. Root metrics will merrily map it as AT&T. Unfortunately AT&T has no service there. It's all roaming. This leaves the RM app to be completely unreliable in determining where a carrier has a certain type of coverage.

Sensorly will map the same area as signal for union wireless, keeping the maps integrity.
