    Info on Experience Specialist Position?

Hi, new to the forums. I just interviewed at Verizon Corporate for an Experience Specialist position. I was wondering if there are any Experience Specialists out there or anyone who knows more details about it that would be interested in sharing what you think of it? Is it a cool position? How much does it differ from Solutions Specialists and Sales Representatives?

I think I did ok in my interview. Most of my answers were very good. I prepared well and had prepared for nearly every question they asked. One STAR question I kind of flubbed and gave a mediocre answer. Then she guided me and I gave a much better answer. Then during the role play I did mostly pretty good but when I asked her if she was looking for any accessories and she said "no" I got tripped up a bit. She needed to give me a suggestion to continue and after that I was fine. Though I am realizing now that I only suggested one accessory when she asked me to suggest two. Oops. I don't have a sales background, so it was a little unnatural for me to do that. However, I would say everything else was above average.

In your opinion, do you think those two mistakes could cost me the job? Since this was for experience specialist, which is less of a sales role, and everything else was pretty good, do I stand a chance here?

Don't be FOOLED by the title, pretty much what you're signing up for is a Sales Rep w/ a customer service background. VZW Corp. are desperate for people because of the High pressure and demands of the job. It's a rotating door they let tenure people go and people just quit due to pressure or you just get let go for stupid things like not attaching enough tablets or whatever the matrix of the month is.

Ok. Wow. Thanks for the response. So, its the same as a sales position but I can't make as much money? That seems not so great.

Also considering a position at Apple. Trying to decide between the two. I appreciate the response.

I second that, if you are going to get screwed by Corp. do it with a brand name that people eat. :P

The job you are talking about is basically customer care with a focus on sales. You'll be teaching people how to use the phone, you'll be setting up emails, basic tech support stuff. Part of good customer service is offering things and providing services and "selling" a bit....it's a pretty easy job in my eyes. You'll basically be a customer service person who needs to think, use some of your customer service skills to get a few incremental sales.
