In a simpler phrase, your tablet isn't pulling down that speed with CA, but just with a fatter pipe than usual.

    Also, what tablet is that?
It is a Galaxy Tab S. They only have the 15x15 AWS they acquired from AT&T after the failed buyout. They didn't swap with Verizon because they are running 20x20 here which is puzzling at the fast download speeds on T-Mo. They do have 40 MHz of PCS but it is not contiguous.

As far as the upload, I remember getting around 25 on Verizon B13 when they first rolled out LTE here. In fact, I posted a few speedtest results on the Verizon forum where I hit 48+ twice on the upload on 20x20 B4. Weird.

I really want to see a service mode screenshot since FCC is upgrading their site, so no way for me until 8th to check the spectrum holding there. If the entire county is covered with only 15x15 LTE then this is indeed very interesting!

I wish there was a way I could access Service Mode. LTE Discovery only identifies B12 but not B4 or B2, if they are running B2 LTE here.

Edit: Ah, perhaps they do have 20x20 deployed in SE MI and 15x15 in the three counties to the north that make up the Thumb. http://www.fiercewireless.com/specia...have-and-where

    Very impressive!

On average, is TMO faster than Verizon over there?

That is hard to say. Both are very close speed wise but T-Mobile seems to have a bit better cell density. B12 has filled in those weak signal areas nicely.

Looks like you're ready to switch.

Get yourself the next iPhone so that you can enjoy VoLTE and be done with it.

He has coverage issues that hold him back from switching.

I deal with those by using VZW on my iPad and T-Mo on my iPhone along with wifi calling through tethering to the VZW iPad.

Having both VZW and T-Mo is a nice combo for me.

He has that option I think. His situation is unique to him though so it's all up to him.

I am currently on a family plan where the other person on the line refuses to switch. I may split off but I am going to wait to do that for now. I want to do JOD and currently that has no contract buyout. My contract with Verizon expires in November. Since I want to switch to the Note5, there's a decent probability for there to be discounts on the Note5 for Black Friday.

Also, I am going to see how the coverage hole around Sparta gets fixed. Hopefully soon.

Awesome speeds. We're stuck on 5x5 here
