It's a great phone on paper. I'd assume the build quality is as good as prior motos. At $400 it's the best value in the high end market segment. Stock android is great; i don't understand how people can stand Samsungs take on the OS. A lot of the drawbacks of owning a Moto X or Moto Nexus 6 have been adequately addressed.

I'm going to stick with my 2013 Moto G and 2000 StarTAC for now.

    Cat 6 LTE for 300Mbps peak, huge screen, 21mpix camera, B1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 25, 26, 38, 41 LTE, SMR band 1x (unusual for a non-sprint phone), pentaband HSPA+, 3GB RAM... ect... ect... perfect for almost any carrier worldwide.

If you buy one of these, i think it'll be a great phone for 3+ years. I don't see network technology improving to the point where Cat 6 LTE will be long in the tooth for the foreseeable future. 3GB of ram should enable this phone getting most any future version of the android OS for several years.

I thought I read that it is intended to be used on all four of the main carrier networks. Now getting sprint to load the ESN in their whitelist database is another matter, not to mention the Byzantine rules what their MVNO's are allowed to accept...

And custom roms will keep this phone alive for long time.
