All towers with band 2 have been upgraded to 20x20 and the towers with 17 are the same at 10x10.

Edit: The ping seems a bit high since usually its 30-39ms, tested on a iPhone SE with iOS 11.1 Beta and carrier profile 29.5.
Do you mean B12/17 is still at 10x10? Or towers with B2 and 12/17 still have B2 10x10? Because B12/17 can't do more than 10x10

    Verizon

    20x20 band 2
    20x20 band 4
    10x10 band 13
    25 MHz 850

    AT&T

    10x10 band 2
    5x5 band 2
    10x10 band 12
    10x0 band 29
    10x10 band 30
    25 MHz of 850

AT&T will have 10x10 band 14 and 10x10 66 soon. So technically they have more spectrum here it's just more fragmented. If you head down to Southern NJ, it's AT&T who has boatloads of spectrum and band 2 is now 20x20. In fact they have just as Much spectrum there than they do out by you.
That's why they perform so well out there. I'd imagine they're pretty dense as well in NYC? Dual 20x20 is definitely an advantage I would like to see that out this way at some point. The closest thing we have to dual 20x20 is T-Mobile at B4 20x20 and B2 15x15.

I think they mean band 12/17 are at 10mhz, they did the same upgrades up in Washington a few months back

Yes they are far more dense than AT&T here , and T-Mobile especially in the suburbs . I'm not sure who's the most dense in Manhattan but Verizon's network is very impressive here. I think what they need to do is densify the spectrum starved markets and aggressively deploy 4x4 MIMO and 256 QAM. That would at least provide better spectral efficiency.

    Bellows falls, VT

Had a very clean B12 signal in the high school parking lot
Meanwhile in the same area about a year ago USCC was getting barely 10mbps.

Is that a area then where uscc has the other Band 12 license?

Yeah, USCC owns the B block, AT&T owns the C block in the part of new Hampshire the tower is broadcasting from in Walpole, VTEL WIRELESS owns the C block in Vermont and USCC owns the B block.

Oh I thought some said they saw Band 17 at 15mhz but I could be wrong.

Nope can only do up to 10x10. On Low-band only bands 26 and 71 can do 15x15. Only band 71 can do 20x20.

The band plan for “Band 17” is only 10x10 MHz wide...
