Well I went to the Sprint free one year site, typed in my Gophone number and the Imei of my Moto G5 Plus and clicked on the check eligibility to which the system said eligible. Ordered the sim on Friday and got it Monday afternoon, went on to the activation website and successfully ported my Gophone number into Sprint and now im living the free life for 1 year. I don't go into rural areas much so don't have to worry about that.

At my desk in center city. Uploads are continuing to cripple the ability to do almost anything and it's happening in too many places. Band 12 actually works ok at my desk but my phone parks on band 2 with little to no uploads.

PC Mag rated AT&T 3rd in Philly and put TMO and Verizon ahead. Why not switch?

It has to be a backHaul issue. All that spectrum and inconsistent speeds. I can see why he's frustrated.

The PC Mag ranking is weird, I just saw it about an hour ago. If you look at the actual metrics, at&t does better than Verizon IMO. I have no idea how they came to that conclusion--they must have weighted speed higher than reliability. Verizon works better near my work, but is worse elsewhere. T-Mobile barely works outside my building per their website (says 1mbps) and I know they do not work inside a lot of the underground rail stations (where vzw and at&t do). T-Mobile I agree is the fastest in the city, but overall is actually more expensive and doesn't meet my needs when I travel. How they gave T-Mobile a 100 on reliability is due to where they tested, it certainly isn't a 100 and they really struggle with voice still acording to rootmetrics

PC Mag needs to re-do their final scores, but their overall take of "We didn't see very fast speeds in Philadelphia all around" is quite accurate! Besides the funky 4 point difference they came to between at&t/vzw, the pcmag results relatively mirror rootmetrics, i.e. both have weak spots. Verizon being 4th in reliability is a surprise...and thus invalidates them being #2 IMO.

    AT&T 4G HSPA+/LTE Speedtests!

Band 2 20x20 is KILLING ME.

Meanwhile if I cycle my phone I get put onto band 12:

12 isn't even aggregating and it's easily better! If I want to do anything I have to cycle my phone. It's insanity. Doesn't the network know that band 2 has collapsed or has massive interference. Something is effed with it.

Looks like they expanded the bandwidth here if you couldn't tell by my speeds..... Not very fast, no noticable speed increases for me

Give it a few weeks for them to optimize and re-provision those sites and all should be as good or better than it used to be.

I sure hope they do that, and add band 4 to aggregate with those 2 bands so I can finally have 3x CA at home

After seeing some of your tests, I'll have to agree, but at that time of the morning I used to pull 80 down on 10mhz of band 2 and 12, that's my disappointment I guess

Was gonna ask my friend's aunt for the Wi-Fi password because I assumed service wouldn't be so great, but I was pretty impressed given where I am.
