Taking a Tri-band Phone to Europe

Speakout (7-11 Canada) have a 'special' on the 850/1900/2100 Mhz unlocked GSM BLU Advance 4.0L Smartphone. It does NOT have the 900/1800 frequencies used in Europe. The question is, if in Europe I buy a local SIM card, (UK, Spain or Portugal) is the 2100 frequency going to give me voice service, depending of course on network coverage? Thank you.

Curious, Don't you have your own phone you could unlock and take to Europe?

Don't bother unless you just like playing with phones.

\Thank you. Perhaps I should have been more specific. My unlocked GSM quad-band phone, much used for travel, is getting cranky and will eventually have to be replaced. One alternative is this unlocked BLU triband option, which has the North American and European 2100 mhz frequency. My question should have read, " When used with a local SIM card, and assuming adequate network coverage, will the use of this single frequency allow satisfactory service in Europe - or do I also need a phone which also has one of the Euro GSM frequencies, 900 &1800 mhz? Many thanks.
