Well since Sprint doesn't offer VoLTE to their own customers yet, they probably don't offer it to google fi.

They probably do offer it. If you are in a T-Mobile area that has only a band 12 signal, you would need VoLTE to make calls. Someone more familiar with T-Mobile's network would have to answer how many areas are still that way.

They don't. If your connected to T-Mobile in a Band 12 only area the call will simply not go through. As that's a safety/E911 issue I belive Fi will offer VoLTE as soon as Sprint and USC launch it.

Anywhere that band-12 outreaches bands 2 or 4. There are parts of SD where the only service is band-12.

U.S. Cellular is currently testing it in "select" areas (mine in Mendocino County, CA isn't one), and will officially roll it out next year, I'm sure to coincide with their LTE roaming agreement with T-Mobile, which also goes into effect next year.

Only Metro PCS and T-Mobile branded customers can use VoLTE only the T-Mobile network.

I would figure Utra Mobile would also use VoLTE from T-Mobile.

Nice read. Looks like it as most of the phones listed are T-Mobile prepaid phones. Hopefully FI follows suit once USC and Sprint deploy VoLTE

Why is it a prerequisite for Sprint and USC to offer VoLTE to be able to use T-Mobile VoLTE?

Since FI doesn't officially list T-Mobile and Sprint as partners. They can't list VoLTE as a T-Mobile exclusive feature. Since people will say what about the other 2 carrier partners.

I'm not following you. Why would they have to make any mention of the carrier? Why not just allow VoLTE in areas where it's available (regardless of the fact that currently, that would only be in T-Mobile's footprint)?
