For those who want in on Chatr promo plans, you can do a new activation on Mobi and keep it a month then bring to Chatr. Chatr is honouring all pricing so far (and $45 for North America calling + 6GB data is certainly better than a $40/$45 Wind plan)
It is sad I need to state the obvious but some people just don't get it. Any posts I make are my own OPINIONS and in no way represent the views of my employer

How, exactly? Other than the stronger coverage in-zone, Wind's $45 plan appears to match the features of the $45 Mobilicity plan (other than 5 GB versus 6 GB data). When you factor in Wind's included roaming for talk and text and the significantly cheaper roaming charges, Wind's deal seems pretty good in comparison.

For most people coverage is the main reason to stay/leave a carrier

For anyone considering Wind in the downtown Toronto area, the network is extremely poor. Data doesn't work or crawls at 2G speeds at peak hours. Text messages don't even send properly during peak hours. And inside buildings (like most of my lecture rooms at U of T), the signal doesn't penetrate at all which is inherent to the high frequency AWS spectrum they use.

I wouldn't sign up for Wind even if they offered similar advertised features for $10 per month since the service is barely usable as a phone or let alone a smartphone during peak hours downtown.

Caveat: my experience is from March-June of 2016. But I doubt things have changed drastically since. Maybe they will once LTE is up and running in 2017.

Wind is worst in GTA/ON area
Although the AB/BC has it's share of horror stories nothing compares to how bad it is in the GTA

I remember reading somewhere Ottawa was pretty good though

It's not the frequency. Fido was on 1900 and had great coverage in town after the first few years. 1700/2100 isn't far off from 2100, it's 10% higher.

Anybody know what is being offered if you sign up on the $25 or $35 plan?
    Looking forward to Wind LTE!

I can't wait for this to be the norm on wireless!

Its gone now. Today no new activations on Mobi. It's all Chatr now and you get 1GB (at full speed of 3Mbps) data for $40. Bye Mobi.
