I went to Milton today and had CDN Roaming a couple of times(which is much better as you know that you get charged).
I guess they didn't remove roaming indication yet

I still had "CDN Roaming" in North Oshawa today.

Mobilicity said in a Sep 16 text message they were going to get rid of the roaming indicator on Sep 20, but they are obviously having problems.

I was scheduled to be fully on Chatr between Thursday 10 PM to Friday at 6 AM. Then very late Friday morning they sent me a text message saying, ' Your scheduled moving day will be a little later.' So we just keep waiting.

I don't mind waiting. Currently free data and roaming indicator

I was at Banff last Thursday. I got the CAN Roaming indicator and no money in my wallet account. I got data on highway and at Banff. BTW, I got 3Mbps up and down while roaming and is better than I was in Calgary. Rogers can take their sweet time to switch us to Chatr. LOL

I just assumed that this wasn't happening until we'd officially migrated.

    Original plan:

    Sep 20: roaming notification disappears
Sep 20 until officially migrated: cannot use your device if travelling outside Canada & the US

Milton had 0 coverage officially before (in personal tests I found decent signal as far west as Ontario St)
Since the Chatr announcement I have yet to find an area out west without signal (same thing in east, after Markham rd when you hit 9th line there used to be nothing, now I have coverage)

Nice! That means that we have access to expanded zones already!

No, that's not right. We do have access to data, seemingly everywhere in Canada on the Rogers network. But if you lose access to the Rogers network for whatever reason (going into underground parking, restarting your phone, etc.), you can only use data after that in a "CDN Roaming" zone if you have money in your Mobilicity wallet. This happened to me about three weeks ago in North Oshawa that is within the GTA Chatr Unlimited zone. But driving there I took the new Highway 412 that's in a bit of a valley and probably one of the bridges I drove under knocked out my data for the rest of the day. Every other weekend I have driven to Oshawa using either Highway 401 or Taunton Road. Neither of these routes is in a valley and I've had full data use in Oshawa.

Under Chatr, I would have full phone use in Oshawa. But now I cannot place or receive any phone calls at all.

@Night_Owl the knockout trick has run it's course. Now you do not need to select away networks and phone reconnects no problem in my experience.

I have to do no special configuration for roaming data with no extra credit...

As soon as I'm automatically concerned to CDN Roaming, I can use data and sms, but no calling. I have tried this out of zone in 4 provinces, Ontario, Québec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia and it doesn't matter how long I've been disconnected, it always connects again.

I did have slow slow data in the Maritimes, but I think this is because Rogers network there is a bit Swiss Cheese and thin compared to Bell.

    So everyone has different experiences
But I like the one with free data and texts across multiple provinces the most

I'm currently is the U.S. and my phone is showing T-Mobile in the status indicator and I have the little "R" roaming indicator beside my signal strength.
