Well... you have probably seen some of my posts in the past. I am on a shared plan... I have three phones (paying $105 a month plus tax) and the Yiso is one of them.
Well when I first got the Yiso.... it was great. I only use it in the bar that I DJ at once or twice a week tops. Well for the past four months or so... ive been having nothing but issues. Its mad slow... and disconnects me frequently.
I already had it replaced once through Sprint warranty. That did not help. I think im having a signal issue. Using the connection manager... from my DJ booth... im getting ONE BAR of signal... TOPS. That totally sucks cause... with my a500 right next to it... I easily get four bars. When I connect the a500 to the laptop directly... it works great. No disconnects.
Yeah its great having the Yuso on the shared voice plan... but at this point... im not getting any signal at the location where I plan on using it the most.My boss borrowed it for a week and had no issues so the card has to be good.
Sprint must have changed something with their towers within the past four months in eastern Manhattan cause this thing used to work great. Well... not anymore.
Now im left with a dilemma... what to do with this card. Well first off on another note... my third phone I have on the plan my GF was using... but im going to cancel that line cause I dont need it anymore. She got a good deal with AT&T with enough minutes to not use mine. Cancelling that phone will drop my plan down to the normal $85 a month shared plan (no more $20 an addaphone).
I can either ask Sprint to swap out my Yiso with a Sierra card (which i think they should do since im getting piss poor reception). If they don't want to do that... then ill drop that line as well... and just drop down to a normal $30-40 retention plan for a single line that they offered me months ago.
Don't get me wrong. Im not a Sprint basher. I love Sprint. My a500 works great. I just can't justify spending the extra cash for shared lines when I cant even get a signal. And I dont even pay for my cell phone... my job does... but thats beyond the point.
UGH!
Anyone want to buy a Yiso? I might ebay it if I do disconnect it. It works great... just not in my DJ booth.![]()
