    Will data cutouts end soon?

Will our data experience improve when we move to chatr do you guys think?

My Google speech recognition never works, and my data appears and disappears still.

Maybe? Remember that our data will remain as the lowest priority on the network so if there is congestion, we get dropped so that Robbers customers get their data.
    Bell SK+fongo:
$85 Unlimited NA, NA text, US Roaming, 15GB

    Chatrlicity:
$30 Unlimited NAM , $30 Unlimited Province Wide

This might be true in some cases...

But, I believe this is just what they say to justify systematic cut-outs, because I have tested my phone at say, Monday at 2pm in a busy downtown area, but because it is a stat holiday, nobody is there. As per normal, the data dropped to un-usable. I think it's timing and location planned, and not just dynamic.

I do hope this stops, because it forces any of us who actually rely on this for work to have a second line on a "Tier One" carrier.
    Looking forward to Wind LTE!

I can't wait for this to be the norm on wireless!

No, we're definitely talking about something other than just congestion. As canadian_kool says, I also get results that don't coincide with heavy use times - for example, I can get timeouts and disconnects in the wee hours of the night when usage should be the lowest.
I thought it had been fixed, and I guess it got a little better, but lately I've been having cause to both use my data out and about and notice, and test it at home more often, and the results are still quite dismal.

Pretty sure we've already switched over, getting faster speeds which makes me think so:

Yeah, I was just wondering the same thing. Data all afternoon has been really good. No data cut outs around the weekday dinner time which is a nice change.

Around this time of day, I usually don't have any data to connect to a Speedtest server. But I ran Speedtest a few minutes ago and got:

    6:02 pm: 9.69 down, 0.94 up, 97 ping

My display still showed "Mobilicity" so I restarted my phone, but the name didn't change. Another two Speedtest runs are more what I was expecting on Chatr:

    6:07 pm: 2.81 down, 0.35 up, 226 ping
    6:19 pm: 2.92 down, 1.15 up, 134 ping

    I shouldn't have restarted my phone! :-(

P.S. I'm in Pickering (eastern GTA).

Yes we have been switched over. At least for me in Vancouver.

Our ping used to be over 200ms for a Speedtest from Vancouver, now it is 24ms. Download is solid at 3Mbps and upload at 2Mbps.

    Awesome!
I'm seeing 55ms at the moment in Edmonton, used to be 120+.
Our data POP has moved west 3500 km or so

If you're not seeing a change yet, try an airplane-mode cycle.
They might be doing a staged switch-over.

My iPhone SE is dead now saying "No SIM". At 6:45 EDT, my iPhone said "No Service". When I tried later, "No SIM".

Numerous times I have shut down my iPhone SE, waited a few minutes, and restarted, but I'm still told "No SIM" (7:45 EDT).

Anybody else experience this loss of service? I'm in eastern Scarborough right now (GTA).

"No SIM" is a device issue, not a network issue.
Have you pulled the SIM and wiped the contacts clean?

If you are still experiencing "No SIM" tomorrow, go into a Mobi/Chatr dealer and get a new one. Tell then you're travelling, the FAQ says you need a new one, it should be n/c. Test connectivity before leaving the dealer.

@pjw918, I knew it couldn't be my iPhone because I saw "No Service" at first. I have never seen that before. Rogers/Chatr/Mobilicity must have been doing something to their towers.

I shutdown my iPhone yet again and waited about five minutes. Eureka, I have data again!!!

    8:23 pm: 2.93 down, 1.15 up, 77 ping

Thanks for the advice! I'll follow it if this happens again.

Well guys, I am getting a rock solid 3 Mbps download and UPLOAD! I am surprised it's symmetrical speeds. And my ping of 27 millisec is just insane. I've never seen less than 30 millisec previously - didn't even think such low pings were possible on HSPA+.

Anyway, I'm thrilled about the new chatr quality of service. Still surprised that Rogers has honored prices while improving service substantially - too bad for those ppl who bailed mobilicity before waiting to see what Rogers had to offer.

As you'll see in the screenshot, I tested this in Toronto (Yonge/St. Clair) at 8 pm with a full 18 ASU signal level.

I had this issue where anything google.com (only .com, not .ca) wouldn't work. Since voice uses the .com domain, that's why it doesn't work. This is because of outdated APN settings. Search the mobilicity site's FAQs for changing APN settings (basically remove proxy+port from existing settings).
