    @nate1 and @chinesedevil,

Holy frijoles, you two guys are right! I'm roaming in Oshawa with Data Roaming turned off (as above) and I can't believe my Speedtest result:

I'm not currently roaming. I'm in mid-town Toronto. Speedtest is showing:

    Ping 37ms
    Down 2.97 Mbps
    Up 1.22 Mbps

Which is significantly slower than what you guys are showing.

Not sure why non-roaming data should be slower than roaming data.

Edit: ran it a second time and the results are comparable to what I got the first time around.

    Speedtest app on Android.

The high-speed data party is over (for me, at least). I'm back in eastern Pickering which is just inside Mobilicity's eastern GTA border:

Do you get the little "R" instead of (or as well as) the "H" on the cellular signal indicator? That is the roaming indicator.

Mobilicity: Your roaming notification will disappear on your device screen as of September 20, 2016 when you are out of zone. This is the message that reads "CDN Roaming" or "T-Mobile". Remember, you are subject to pay-per-use rates when using your mobile out of zone.

I don't see a little "R" on my iPhone SE right now. I have never seen a little "R" as a Mobilicity customer. (...)

So no wonder Mobilicity uses the terminology they use. Apple iPhone and cellular iPad devices don't implement a roaming indicator on the device.

I'm getting 3mbps in Montréal, Quebec with $0 credit... After multiple reboots and SIM swaps...

This is continuous the same the whole way here from Ottawa.

I can't place an outgoing call, but seems we have data in a province where there are no Chatr unlimited data zones.

    Looking forward to Wind LTE!

I can't wait for this to be the norm on wireless!

That's nice. I always wondered why they didn't include Montreal in the new zones (that would have been perfect!). I hope it stays that way (even if we can't place outgoing calls, with data available we should be able to use a VoIP app to call/text if we need to).

lol who cares? it's not like them having data affects you?

If your data worked after the cap I'm pretty sure you wouldn't complain lol

You probably wouldn't understand if I explained it to you, so I won't bother.

Maybe I have to restart my iPhone to see the "R"? If I restart my iPhone, I will definitely lose all data until I get back to Pickering (Mobilicity's eastern GTA border under Rogers' control).

Should I enable LTE even though Apple warns me that our network today is not certified for LTE?

Sorry for asking a third time now, but I'm not a network administrator and nobody has answered.
You can enable LTE if you want, but you would still have 3G only as Chatr limits our access to LTE.
When I had an iPhone with Mobi I didn't notice much difference for battery life and performance with LTE option on or off.
And yeah that really sucks, but it seems that iPhone does not have R sign when you roam. You can only guess when the provider name changes, which is not the case with Canadian roaming

Update:last week on Thursday my number was not reachable for a couple of hours, no voice-mail either. So definitely some work is in progress.
Also I still don't have data with my old Mobi plan and really inconvenient.
I have chosen new chatr plan with data and emailed customer service, but no luck in getting any exact dates of the switch.
Second week of October would be good...

Any thoughts when the chatr voice mail kicks in ? I never had voice mail on my Mobi plan but there is a voice mail function by pressing and holding 1 but when inputting the phone number it says its invalid.
Mobilicity $15.00 Promo plan + $5.00 increase under rogers ownership.

I'm waiting for exactly the same thing as you. I was at the Scarborough Town Centre on Friday and the employee I talked to at the Chatr/Mobilicity kiosk said we should be fully moved over to Chatr by the end of the second week this month.

    Hi,

I was in Guelph yesterday which falls in Roaming zone for Mobilicity. My wallet had some balance.

I used data, call and text in Guelph. But I was only charged for voice call. Text and data was free. It showed CDN Roaming all the time and signal strength was pretty good.

Guelph is in a Chatr Unlimited zone for Southwestern Ontario (Guelph, Kitchener-Waterloo, London to Port Stanley). Hopefully, we'll be part of the Chatr Unlimited zones by the end of next week.
