Just checked again, Verizon showing I've used 26 MB's today so far. Checked with my phone and it too agrees that I've used 26 MB's. I will tally it up before bed tonight and log it, then check again in the morning. The pattern I'm noticing is that Verizon and my phone agree when I check at night, before bed and when I check again in the morning is when the extra MB's appear. Sounds very similar to those people saying they've had GB's of usage show up overnight. I have been putting my phone in airplane mode before bed while doing these tests.

Keep us posted, this shouldn't be happening.

Looks like I can scratch the overnight theory. It updated again tallying me up to 29 MB's total, and I'm still at the same 26 MB's used according to my phone as earlier.

The website is saying you used 3 MB more than your phone tally?

Yeah that's already how much it's over counting today already. It'll probably show up around 8 MB's more once all is said and done. (When I check in the morning)

The billing system does not update in real time. There will always be a delay.

And that only makes it worse if they're ALREADY showing me as using more then I've actually used when it does update to the final total.

This is not a new occurrence. It has always been this way since cellular phones could access the internet.
If I'm annoyed and you're annoyed, does that make us a paranoid ??

With Verizon? Cuz I never had AT&T over bill for data, nor T-Mobile.

It's the method Verizon uses to tabulate data. AT&T and Sprint do not have this problem. This method VZW uses, despite it being a minor overage, is a problem.

Yeah Verizon is the only one I have inconsistent data with. The others seem to report it way more accurately

    For yesterday I used 101 MB's total and Verizon reports I used 107.52 MB's.

Have you sent/received a large number of MMS by any chance?

I worked for ATT for almost 10 years and data can be delayed in showing online. Not as much as in the past.

I've sent a decent amount of pic messages. One thing I've noticed is since been in safety mode pic messages seem to go through very slow. Could just be a coincidence though
