Yes that makes sense. That's why I'm shutting data off in the evening and tallying everything up in the morning. But I also don't see how that's entirely relevant to my issue since its Verizon OVER counting usage and not under counting. If it were under then I'd just chalk it up to a billing delay. This is not that.

I think they may be counting MMS as data and drawing it from the bucket. I've sent/received a large number of MMS messages this month but those are fairly compressed files and shouldn't count for 300+ MB's of usage. And in your case not a whole GB.

AT&T seems to under count data. Not by much, though.

Edit: I'm undercounted by 140.76 MB.

I think they've under counted my usage by up to 200 MB's before. It only happened maybe once or twice out of 7 months of monitoring. I suppose Verizon over bills to make up for what AT&T doesn't bill hahahaha.

My phone currently shows 199MB used vs Verizon showing 200MB used. The usage was last updated at 5:20 PM and I reset my counter a day after my cycle started over or later in the day on my cycle reset.

Using an iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6s running 9.3.3 and 10.0.1, respectively.

I can't imagine what is still causing your discrepancies.

My phone now shows 200MB used and Verizon says my usage is 205 MB with tablet having used .06 MB. I didn't reset my iPad data counter because I didn't think about it at the time, but so far everything seems to be matching up.

Today I've been using my att data which has been working well. Verizon wouldn't even let me use their pop data. It wasn't an option prob due to congestion

I couldn't figure it out until I opened the app on my iPad instead and it explained to me that I need to turn off purchase blocking in order to use pop data. I think it also wants location services for the app turned on to use it.

    Verizon vs iPhone data counter

For 10/15 I used 70 MB's. Verizon showed 71.68 MB's used. First time VZ has come that close to agreeing with my phone.

I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking their usage is bazar. My fiancé somehow uses around 17-18 GB a month even though he's around wifi a lot. My usage seems to be on par though. I feel like Verizon is scamming all of us and I'm surprised there's no lawsuit or major fine issued yet.

Starting to feel the same way. I'm def over pop data. The wife said she'd divorce me if i pay for that

She wants me on att anyways. The only problem is I'm content with what I have price wise with verizon and already have gophone.
