    Valle de Uco. Mendoza Argentina

Personal had 1-2 bars of edge. Claro was absent.

Pretty much known Movistar owns this market for coverage. This was band 5 umts. Personal has band 28 in Mendoza which is great for in building. But shockingly in the rural areas still only runs band 4. Movistar is strictly band 4 LTE for now. Band 28 was just recently launched from what I can tell.

Looks like you have a decent signal is the tower congested? How much spectrum do they have deployed?

No idea. I think Movistar is the only company with band 5 3G? I'm sure that helps. Considering claro had no signal and personal only barely had edge; this was lightning fast compared to them. I didn't see a cell site at all so it must've been pretty far.

Back in Buenos Aires today and Movistar still is the LTE leader here in town though it was useless at AEP airport; personal 3G was working. I haven't bothered with Claro.

Speedtest? Well, I couldn't even load up the Google Maps from the app...

AT&T MX was M.I.A for my MSV line which defaulted to the hapless Movistar.
(consumer lines struggled to maintain LTE, 3G was hurting at times.)

Telcel LTE was M.I.A. most of the time since my consumer line and roaming line with T-Mobile mainly stayed on 3G.
The never seen before, dual 1900MHz HSPA+ and dual 850 MHz HSPA+ channels sort of made up for the loss of the spotty LTE service. Not sure, if this a temporary configuration or something more.

AT&T MX was still struggling to recover after the festivities, like going through a bad hangover.
Telcel LTE returned like a champ.
Movistar is like the kid who barely catches up, then suddenly falls behind the pack, and goes back to barely catching up, again.
That's weird. 2 weeks ago in TJ AT&T MX was preferred, and once it hopped on to Telcel LTE. Both were pretty solid for me and I never saw Movistar. However others around me with MSV seemed to be locked on to Movistar a lot. I don't have MSV.

Good to know. I'll be there and Puerto Iguazú and El Calafate starting tomorrow and will report what works good too.

Inside MEX (Mexico City) airport. As usual, speeds like this at an airport are stellar, considering there's hundreds or perhaps thousands of people at any given time.

    ^^
Claro, in my travels, was by far the worst. I kept in on movistar. The only time Personal was better was in my hotel in Mendoza and AEP airport. I'd say on average, I hit 12mbps pretty consistently on movistar. I only used fast.com to try to conserve data usage.

EZE was rough in the AA lounge; the lounge wifi did not work, only Movistar 3G worked! Have a great trip. We did the city and Mendoza wineries. I think patagonia and iguazu falls are up for the next trip; we only could scrounge up 7 days off work because we're both too busy right now.

    El Calafate, Argentina

This was in the downtown area which is ok as far as speeds go but highly variable depending on time of day or whether indoors or outdoors. Once on the outskirts of town or at Perito Moreno glacier, it is mostly EDGE or no service on either Movistar, Claro, or Personal. In the case of data either EDGE or no service is equally useless.

AT&T MX using my Samsung Galaxy S7 in Playas de Rosarito. Uploaded using my Telcel line which hasn't really stayed on LTE. AT&T MX briefly dropped to Movistar but I was able regain access to the home network after manually selecting it. Max network configuration is 2 antenna TX and Rx at TM4.

    Here we go ...something normal

Is AT&T MX 20x20 out there? Would be nice if the carriers out there could run 2x CA but they all operate on only 1 band for LTE
