Hmmm, they've gone and done it to me yet again. My iPhone SE was working fine until a short while ago. Now I'm back to "No SIM". (I'm sending this on my Note 4.)

Did you other guys move over smoothly to Chatr or did you go through "No SIM" messages like I saw yesterday and this morning? Is this something unique to iPhone devices?

I shut down my iPhone SE again and waited 10 minutes. Everything is back to normal with "Mobilicity" at the top of my display.

Originally, I was supposed to move the night of Oct 13 to 14. On the 14th I got a text message and e-mail admitting my move to Chatr was aborted.

Am I having issues because I've got an iPhone? How can I tell if I've been moved over to Chatr if they take away my cellular access for hours with a "No SIM" message? When they do that to me, I can't get any text messages from them.

I just got my notice a few minutes ago.

    Fingers crossed.

Just got migrated last night. When does my payment info migrate? I don't see auto-pay setup and I can't set it up.

I got migrated last night as well.

For autopay, I logged into my new Chatr online account and under "Manage Payments" it showed that I was already enrolled, and the details of the card I had registered for that, which is the same one as what I was using before with Mobilicity.

    Overall, the migration went smoothly.

Only hiccup is that I wasn't able to send text messages, but rebooting my phone solved that problem.

I was texted my new Chatr online login and password, both of which worked fine.

Once I was logged in, I was able to update my personal profile information such as selecting a new username and password, and updating my address (they still had my old address from five years ago on file!!).

As mentioned above, autopay information carried over, as well as what I had left over in my old Mobilicity Wallet plus the $10 migration bonus.

Also, as others have mentioned, the pay-per-use charges now showing for my Chatr plan is different from the table that was showing on the migration website. The main difference is that what I was originally "offered" was out-of-zone outgoing calls "included", but now the new table shows 25˘/minute.

Question for those who've already had one bill go through post-migration:

Are existing credits on my Chatr account:

    • treated the same way as the Mobilicity Wallet (i.e. can only be applied to pay-per-use charges like roaming and long distance), or
    • applied towards to the monthly bill (i.e. if my monthly bill is $30 and I have a $15 credit already, then the next time autopay goes through I'm only billed for the difference)?

    Thanks.

Has anyone done a SIM swap? Are there any fees?

They might change you at the store but if you call Chatr before hand. Saying you need a new sim card. Once you get the new sim card and call Chatr they'll credit you the sim card cost ($10).

Dude, it looks like you have faulty sim. I don't have any issues with no signal before and after migration.
Just get a new sim card

I have added both APNs. Changing them from time to time and did a couple of speed tests. I don't see any big differences.
Also, I have changed the SMSC back to mobilicity +16478000106 and I got my text messages delivery reports back.
With Chatr SMSC there's no delivery confirmation and I don't like that.

No, it's not. It was discussed in this thread already, please search

That's not really a complete answer, but I have gone back earlier in the thread to check.

To summarize: it acts like a bit of both (a) and (b). Existing credits can be used towards both PPU and the monthly bill, but it can only be used against the monthly bill if autopay is disabled, otherwise autopay defaults to the full monthly charge for your plan, and leaves the existing credit balance untouched.
