Post-migration Chatr pay-per-use rates are not as promised

So, the big moment has happened! I've moved to Chatr!

I got a text from Chatr welcoming me, and they subtly reminded me that Chatr pay-per-use rates now apply:

Given the subtle reminder, I thought I should verify these rates.

I tried to log in to the My Chatr page, but despite promising our passwords would be transferred from Mobilicity automatically, they weren't transferred for me.

I used the password reset and got a temp password emailed to me so I could reset my password and log in.

When I logged in, the My Chatr page showed me the plan I was offered correctly as follows. I give them credit for this for sure:

The problem begins when I clicked the "pay per use rates" link (which is below the screenshot):

First, it says I'm on the Mobi 45 plan, which is wrong. But more problematically, the promised "included" out-of-zone outgoing calls for "within province", "within Canada", and "within US" that had been presented to me on the My Chatr Move site had now been replaced with 25c/minute.

The plan I was offered, and I accepted, had outgoing calls out of zone in these locations listed as "included".

First, did this happen to other people? And second, what can we do about it?
    Looking forward to Wind LTE!

I can't wait for this to be the norm on wireless!

I'm confused, your plan had unlimited calls from anyone in US?

I had been offered all my outgoing calls as an "included" feature

I see that as an ability to make CDN and us calls from your local zone aka GTA

Well, I had been offered this:

And instead, they gave me this:

The "in-zone" column in both cases correctly specify that everything is included (when we use it in Ottawa, GTA, Lower Mainland, Calgary or Edmonton)

The "out-of-zone" column is the problem.

The first image (my offer) specifies you pay 25c/min when out-of-zone for incoming calls, but outgoing calls to all 3 destinations while out-of-zone is included. The second image (my actual account) specifies 25c/min outgoing out-of-zone. So they changed it compared to what was offered to me.

why am I so not suprised, and, expecting the exact same thing myself?

I took screen shots of their offer which mirrors yours.

I cant wait to see what happens.

CCTS will be busy if Chatr ignores our complaints.

I am still waiting to be moved. I cannot do anything.

In my opinion, I believe that the included outgoing calls while outside the Chatr unlimited zones is an obvious error. It just doesn't make sense, at least to me. Good luck to everyone who has stuck it out with all the transitioning, and hopefully Chatr provides everything originally promised.

Did you give up on Mobilicity/Chatr? Your wording suggests that to me. If so, why didn't you stick it out?

I was a Mobilicity customer (pre-Rogers) for about a year but left when I saw zero improvement in service despite network densification claims and promised coming expansion. It really was sad because there was a time when Mobilicity's network quality blew Wind's out of the water. Mobilcity's network went nowhere while Wind did make improvements, although that's not saying much for Wind as it was so bad to start off with.

I did try Mobilicity again after Rogers bought them but gave up on them again when data was throttled for nearly a whole month at 0.5Mbps (when well under the fair use threshholds)

To me, the initial graphic with the out-of-zone outgoing included appears to be an error. You described the main offer as being correct; it lists the included calling as "in zone" with 30 minutes of out-of-zone calling.

I think everyone took screenshots so CCTS is going to get a huge spike in Rogers complaints

I don't think it is a conspiracy though

Here are some updates for you:

I'm in Montreal, out of the zone...

    Here's my summary:
-They send you an SMS when you leave the zone, but don't cut off data, so my first line had $10 credit, so it immediately started getting consumed... My background data used about a dollar before I saw the SMS...
-The second line had a balance of $0. Data did not work, as expected
-The line with $0 could not send SMS... It appears that they attempt to charge $0.15/message, despite the PPU chart showing they are included
-Phone calls worked because of the 30 min credit
