Just changed from Fido To chatr!

Hey Guys, I am new here and I just changed from Fido to Chatr. I know the coverage from Fido is better than Chatr (ok, it is the same, I am talking about the in zone coverage), but the price is cheaper and the service is not bad at all like Freedom.

Did anyone change lately as well?

    I am very happy!

Most of the new Chatr subs on here came from Mobilicity

I'm confused about your better in zone coverage statement. What do you mean? Chatr, Fido and Rogers are all on the same network in zone and out of zone.

Sorry, I come from Mobi like most people here

I think he is referring to Fido having no zones, while he gets a better plan on Chatr he is now restricted to a zone

Thats right! Even having a restrict zone with chatr the price is cheaper. I was with wind/freedom at once, and I didnt like it all. Now I am liking so far. I usually work outside of Toronto, lets see how the in zone coverage will work for me!

Gotcha! Where do you work? They have expanded zones at Chatr comparing to Mobi:

It depends of the day! A week before Christmas I was in Erin. And I checked the coverage map and there it is not "in zone". But I've heard that if u keep some money in your "wallet" you will never going to be out of service! Is that correct?

Yes, it's pay per use out of the zone.

Erin might work as you might get coverage from Brampton, which is close by. Just dial *#555# to check if you are in the zone

I added two favourites to my Phone app:

    Chatr Zone Check (*#555#)

    and

    Chatr Account Balance (*225#).

This makes it really easy for me to check if I'm in the Chatr unlimited data zone, and to check my account balance.

Chatr's unlimited data zone works great for me from Oshawa to Niagara Falls. With Mobilicity, I had limited use of my phone in the eastern GTA (Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa) and going to Niagara Falls. With Chatr now, I have full use of my phone at all times, so I'm very happy!

The same here about coverage! The roaming in the USA was working well too with the old Mobi SIM. The text price is the cheapest one too (except WIND).
I have added those 2 shortcuts as well for balance and zones. It was really convinient to check usage in roaming.

Just changed from Fido To chatr!

I am waiting until I get to 2G to do the speedstest! My phone doesnt have the option to change to 2G! I did the speedtest on 3G and it is ok! The usage is good! I have nothing to complain about it!
