Considering paperless billing is REQUIREMENT I'm petty sure it's already rolled in the price.

According to Verizon's website, this new plan is for a "limited time only". Whatever that means.

Where on the Verizon site does it say this? I'm not seeing it on the plan page anywhere

Yep they've been offering the 12 GB plan "for a limited time" since September.

I currently don't own a smartphone , are all smartphones capable of being used as a hotspot ? Can they be used as a hotspot while actually talking on the phone ? How long will the phone battery last if being used as a hotspot ? Any other possible catches I haven't thought of Already ?

Hmm, leave it to Verizon to screw this up as well. I see no reason why they wouldn't allow 2 phones on this 5GB.
But this isn't surprising, as whenever they offer a good price on a new smartphone with DPP, it always requires a new line of service, which means a current customer can't get that pricing on their current line.

Of course Verizon will only allow one phone in this plan. Even if you want to pay the $20 line access fee for the second line.

Might have considered taking this up if they allowed two lines.

Seems Verizon wants to try and compete with prepaid here and fail in the process badly.

There seriously is no reason for this unless you must have a device on payments or roaming.

I think as long as you don't have a super old phone yes it can be used as a hotpsot. I do not know if you can talk and use it as a hotspot at the same time. I also assume it would eat up your battery faster. Of course if you were using it as a hotpsot I assume it would most liekly be stationary thus you could keep it plugged in.
