How to dump my landline but still have the ability to receive faxes ?

I have a very old landline number along with a second number off the same landline Bell-south use to call the second number a ring master number like 25- 30 yrs ago when i first got it.
One number I use for my business number for over 20yrs forwards out to an answering service that picks up for me 24/7
The second number rings at home I use it as a home line and to send and reserve random faxes when needed
The service is with AT&T costing me about $52 a month without any long distance service.

Any suggestions on a reliable alternative ?

Assuming that you have a good Internet connection, get a Obhihai device from Amazon and use Google Voice. You can port your old number to Google Voice if you want.

So all you need is to send and receive FAX's? I would look for an online FAX service: The Best Online Fax Services of 2017
