Torrent on a mobile plan is begging for attention.. please don't.

Video/music streaming, .iso download, VM backup... if you need to test quota.
Radio Paradise has an awesome 320kbps AAC stream, not intended for mobile. Use with care!

In case you missed the earlier post, Chatr's zoned unlimited data plans are now 2GB - 6GB, $40 - $50.

Thank you, I'll try that. Do they have mobile app?

I commented in other related post that 2GB at 3G speed is a joke plan to me (in zone) at 40!

I posted the RP link above.

We have free apps for iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, & iPod Touch) and for Android phones and tablets. Both apps include the ability to cache RP for later playback without using cell data (or if you're offline).

If you need LTE, look elsewhere. With the low latency I find Chatr's 3mbps entirely usable, and an improvement over Mobilicity's 'premium' data.
$50 for 6GB, unlimited, is competitive if you're not LTE dependent and within one of their zones.

Why? There are plenty of legal torrents out there
    Public $120 Province Wide + 12GB - $6 Autopay - $6 Loyalty - $42 Refer = $22 per Month
Telus SK North American Wide 7GB = $65
    Chatr (Mobi) $40 North America Wide + 6GB + 30 Mins Roaming

Thanks, downloading it now. I have 6gb for 30,so I'm not complaining about lte lack of. But sometimes I wish it could be faster...

What he meant is not to draw attention after 6gb are used and continue using it without huge slow down

From the FAQs they make it sound like the 64kb slowdown is automatic
Have you ever exceeded 6GB without significant slowdown?

I wasn't, but another user was able to, check previous posts in this thread

"Confirmed again (on a Mobi SIM) over-quota throttle of 128kbps, not an unusuable 64kbps. Enough for basic usage, even 96kbps music streams, with no dropouts (AAC for SQ, eg. Radio Swiss; set a longish buffer). And for a Chatr SIM/plan..?"

Just used all my data and now I am with a reduced speed! And here is the speed test! Going to try to use regular services like apple music, facebook, imessage and etc and I will report here.
Ps. I am a chart user, never been with mobilicity! Name: ImageUploadedByHoFo1491264467.516674.jpg

    @felipelordes,

Thanks for that throttling info! So your 0.09 Mbps is about 92 Kbps (on a Chatr SIM). The OP, @pjw918, twice reported 128 Kbps on a Mobi SIM.

Let us know how well your apps work with your reduced Chatr speed.

Just tested again, now In Mississauga, see the image bellow. Yesterday I tested in Downtown TO. All the services normal, using imessage, whatsapp, facebook and etc. But it is slow a little bit! But it is still useable! Name: ImageUploadedByHoFo1491332377.004207.jpg

Ah, that's better. Your 0.12 Mbps is about 123 Kbps. That's so close to the OP's 128 Kbps. So it doesn't look as though having a Chatr SIM or Mobi SIM really makes any difference if you go over your 3G data allowance.

Good to hear that all your apps were still useable with your reduced Chatr speed.
