I have done this in the past going from two separate prepaid accounts to my Simple Choice plan. The rep that gave me the HookUp said I don't have to wait. I'd like to get some confirmation on the code being in effect first though.

I just checked my HookUp and the promotion was appoved. States that I should see the reward in 2-3 weeks. I guess that's in time for my new billing.

I need to find out if my current lines need porting/transferring out or can be just laterally moved to the new account. I don't really care if the free line drops out or not that much. In a few months I might want to make a change to my account, and it would be lost then anyway.

I setup a new account for this and it took about one week after account opening for the first month's bill to show up on the account. So since yours was approved, you should see the discount reflected then.

For those of you creating accounts in your wife's names, is there a way to eventually add yourself as an account holder or at least someone with permissions to modify the account? Would hate to have to get her on the phone every time I need to call customer care.

Yes, just have her add you as an authorized user. You'll be and to have near complete control over the account.

If you have the desktop logon, you can control all functions of every line. You are the master account holder for all lines and you can designate your line with all privileges for use on your mobile device at that level.

daleraver, were you able to switch your Simple Choice lines from one account to the TMobile One plan in a different account. Did that work out well? Anything to watch out for?

I haven't tried to switch any lines yet. I'm waiting to see what's going on with my Google voice porting first. I figure, worst case is I'll have to port out to a different carrier, then in to ONE ACCT. I don't think that will be necessary though.

how long does the number that got me the hookup need to be active?
IE. i ported over from google voice into a NEW account setup under wife..got the txt. Do i have to keep this line?
I did a change of responsibility on our two lines from my account.

can i make that 3rd line free? how long do i have to keep it if i dont want it to ensure discount is active and linked to BAN not line.

I haven't seen an answer to this question from anyone as of yet.

metalslug2k2 - since you've gone through the process can you check with t-mobile support and see what they say?

oh not even gonna bother. their customer service lately has gone down the toilet. the answers vary from rep to rep. This topic is over the top for them.
The overseas support is just terrible...
I'll report if i get the answer from reddit or elsewhere.
There is a post on slick deals that claims that the code is attached to the BAN(billing account #) and line can be cxld with no problem

Yes, good point. I totally agree, answers vary by rep. Can you share the slickdeals link? I've been monitoring reddit as well.
