I ordered the velocity online when I switched plans but returned it to an at&t store and then got the explore for $ 50 on a 2 yr.contract.

Then I suppose the next questions is if the SIM card from the ZTE Mobley will work in this and I think it should.
The Velocity uses a microsim. What does the Mobley use?

Just picked up a Unite and wondering if it's defective . The signal jumps all over the place on this device from 1 to 5 bars with just a slight movement . Also the speeds are not very good on it

These are solid features. I thought the Velocity had CA as well?

Velocity has band 17 which on AT&T is band 12, velocity does have CA but only 2X

I see. So Band 30 is really the only Band difference.

If you're buying the Unite Explore full price than I'm not really sure if its really worth over the Att Velocity which is still pretty capable. The Unite Explore is $200 retail and the Velocity is $60. I see a like new Unite Explore on eBay for $129.99. It's a good price however, that's still double the price of a brand spankin new Velocity. Do you guys think it's worth the price for just Band 30, and a slightly better 3x3 Carrier Aggregation?

You know how (if at all) to get into the field test/engineering info for the velocity? I can't find anything on it.

mraberthon.com has unlocked Explore for $149....code dansdeals gets you free shipping....I caught one on special for $134 but that sale has ended. One thing you learn is although it will provide dual band wifi, that running both bands will reduce battery life and will reduce overall speed...it is best to just run 5 GHz....wifi strength is not bad for such a small device as I can stay connect inside a restaurant with the car parked outside...

The battery life is amazing on it. I had 12 people connected to it for over 12 hours and the batt was still at about 45%. It also has the ability to act as a charger for a phone. They are well worth it I think.

That has been my thinking so far. Is the Unite's Explore excellent features worth being twice as much as the Velocity?

I picked up the Velocity at BB for $60 and have been using it for a week now with really solid stable results but I keep reading about the additional great features of the Unite Explore and has me wondering if I should send the Velocity back to get the Unite Explore?????

Explore advertises 15 users at once, I believe it is also advertised to run 15hrs, mine has easily hit the 15hrs then some but admit tingly with 5 devices connected. USB Data Pass Through can be done as well if needed, not sure that is supported on the Velocity or not?
It's not who I am underneath but what I do that defines me.
