    Velocity Vs Unite Explore

Do both the Velocity and Unite Explore have the ability to attach an external antenna? Also, do both have the ability to charge a cell phone from it?

I have to agree in that my Velocity has been very solid so far.

No. The signal is consistent. I bought a used Unite Explore and just noticed the wifi would cut in and out. (My phone would show wifi and than no wifi). I don't know if it's a software bug or it's defective. For now my Sim is staying inside the Velocity. That $60 hotspot is a compact little workhorse that's been very reliable.

All ASUS routers can do this. Both my RT-AC88U and my RT-AC87U do this, as does the RT-AC66U I used before these. I love ASUS routers.

Also, I highly recommend running Merlin's firmware if you have an ASUS router. It makes these routers perfect.

All things considered with your knowledge of Asus routers which would you buy again?

    Velocity Vs Unite Explore

Does anybody happen to know if these are carrier locked to AT&T or would a T-Mobile SIM card work in one of these? Also, does it have any of the the correct bands for T-Mobile or are they all AT&T exclusive bands?

The RT-AC88U has been my favorite router to date. Its wireless performance is excellent, as are all of its other features. Just a solid, well performing router.
