The 4GB plan is now 6GB for the same price ($45 or $40 with Autopay).
The 8GB plan ($60/$55) is now replaced for Unlimited ($65/$60) but data is limited to 3Mbps, just like on the Post-Paid Unlimited Choice plan.

Remember when talking was limited to tiers and now it's unlimited? Soon all plans will be unlimited and speed will decide the price. Cricket was the test at 8mb.
Get $25 credit by switching to Cricket Wireless! Then $250 by referring others! Same AT&T signal! Click here!

Yes, I agree. So why wouldn't GoPhone have an second Unlimited data plan without the 3Mbps speed cap for ~$10-15 more?

Very strange any carrier would cap LTE below 5 Mbps. Seems like it would be hard to stream ANY video w/o a good deal of buffering.

Because complicated.....not all customers are Hofo nerds who analyze pricing vs speed. Most don't even know what a MBPS is, let alone whether 3 of them are good, bad or otherwise

They should change name "Unlimited 3G data." Honestly, 3mbps is not LTE speed also 5 mbps too.

yeah, I agree. At the very least they should have matched the Cricket data speed... but even then, what does gophone have over cricket now? At&T should have structured it better:

    postpaid: unlimited, but highest speeds
gophone: slower than postpaid, but faster than cricket
    cricket: 8Mbps

You can stream SD video, use Facebook, text, watch SD YouTube. There is a lot you can do on a phone with that speed. The problem is that once you hit 22 Gb and get deprioritized then how bad is it going to be.
Also, if people sign up for the GoPhone unlimited plan or the cheap postpaid unlimited plan, AT&T will begin to think speed does not matter to most people and will start further restrictions on their plans. These plans are a bad idea for consumers. AT&T are being scum bags.
