    why do people buy 2gb data cards for $30 at Walmart when Tracfone sells 1gb for $10 ?

    why do people buy 2gb data cards for $30 at Walmart
    when Tracfone sells 1gb for $10 ?(which means $30
    would get you 3gb)

    What am I missing here? A lot of people order it here

    They probably saw the ad saying "Was $50. Save $20" and figured it was a bargain, not knowing that it's cheaper on TF web site.

    Walmart is only offering the old style data cards with Email delivery. They have the $10/1GB card in the store. I have seen both style cards on the rack at Kmart. I guess the retailers can't return the old stuff and have to dump it.

    I pick up the $10 data cards at my local Walmart. The $5 text cards are there too.

    I'm betting most people here including myself shop at Walmart and I'm posting this with my phablet on TracFone purchased from Walmart.

    Convenience, Cash purchase vs. CC on website, May not have a CC ( my 29 yo son for example ), Oblivious of the cost differences, Do not

    care to quibble over "a few dollars" , etc....

    Data cards and text cards do not triple, regardless of denominations, whether bought in store or online.
