List best offer Galaxy S8 plus that work w Cricket

Gonna pick up S8 plus at full price to use w Cricket. Please add any offers you come across before release. Most likely will get ATT version which will work right off the bat w no issues.

Best Buy has it for $849 w free VR and remote.

Wish I could justify spending $900 on a phone nowadays. More power to you though.

I would recommend purchase non-AT&T brand unlocked Galaxy S8 so you can use hotspot on Cricket for free.

I remember when $400 was a lot. Phone prices are getting ridiculous. Even iPhones brand new are running over $600.

I do second the non branded AT&T so you don't have issue with unlocking and reselling it later or using it with T-Mobile.

Also, what about software updates? If you purchase ATT version are you at ATT's mercy to roll out updates vs buying an unlocked version? Does Samsung send updates similar to Apple and Google or are you always relying on the carrier?

Good luck getting volte and wifi calling though on a non att handset when cricket rolls is out. Att isn't known for letting non att branded unlocked devices using volte on their network.

Thanks Zeus but VOLTE is not important to me.

You should check out slickdeals. Plenty of S8 promo threads going on over there. You should get get info on LTE bands so you know which models other than AT&T work well with cricket.

I wouldn't buy an $800 phone unless I could get insurance on it in case of damage. Actually if I had an $800 phone, I'd be too scared to use it lol

The only reason I own a $769 iPhone 7+ is because my job subsidized most of it and I paid $189.

Third party warranties, like Square Trade are available for these kind of purchases.

Getting mine from the Microsoft store. Also, Cricket does allow you to use their insurance if you add it within 30 days of purchase. At least that's what my local Cricket store tells me.
