SIM activation on different group line

I have ordered a "preowned" 99 cent phone on line #5 of my group for cost effectiveness
Now I really want to use the SIM that came with it on line #1. Could somebody confirm how this is done online before I do something dumb and cut off service to #5?
I know the regular process where I enter on the web page the order # and the associated phone # (line #5) but I thought somebody mentioned the SIM can be activated on a different line too... TIA

You can ONLY use the SIM on the line that you ordered. Don't work on any other line

I would like to know the answer also. I want to see if I can activate the white sim that shipped with $0.99 phone on a different account.

Under activation link try the "Didn't purchase directly from Cricket?" Section. Wondering if you can treat the sim as if you purchased a sim kit from elsewhere. Maybe try cricket chat also.

I tried before. The SIM ship with the order was assigned to that line number even if you have not activate that order.

Depending on the purchasing circumstances, SIMs can come provisioned with a number, or not. SIMs that ship with a phone are provisioned with the newly assigned number, the ported in number, or the number associated with line that was upgraded. I know that CS can change the provisioning under extenuating circumstances, but I don't know if it can be changed to an alternative number already on the account.

Ok but can you just ignore the new sim and just insert the old sim of the different line into the new phone ?

Yes. You can use that SIM in any Cricket/ATT/Unlocked phone

Oh well, my GF will have to order her own phone if she wants to migrate to ATT servers or just wait for Cricket to do it.
