I think his videos are awful also, just figured I would let others know (which turned out to be true). You would think with all the videos he does he would be a little better, but nope lol

Still rockin the Cricket SIM and today it prompts me for an update. And this update looks to be for the firmware. I did read that all updates are coming from Samsung.

That is good news. I wouldn't have expected that for your AT&T branded S8. I wish more manufacturers would do that. Hopefully others will follow...

Picked mine up yesterday. Didn't realize that Cricket sells it for $699 when the major carries (albeit most have deals going on) are carrying it for ~$849. I got the Cricket Protect and an Otterbox and STILL came out less than that. I have not one complaint AND I can now use the hotspot feature without issue since it's Cricket branded. Just about the same size as my S7Edge, so no complaints about getting this one vs. the S8+. That phone is just big.

I had to call around though. Most of the stores got like 1 or 2 in and even when I walked in to ask about one, they would have them on hold for people on their way in. One guy walked in the door 5 minutes after I did one day last week to claim his. It's crazy.

Does your phone, the cricket version, say cricket on the back?

Not on the back, but the start up logo is an animated Cricket branded version. The back has the label from the box with model #, IMEI, etc.

So you could use the hotspot feature on another carrier, such as GoPhone? Just have to pay $10 month to use hotspot on Cricket.

    Yes you can
