What about porting from AT&T? Is there a maximum they'll cover if we get new phones with Tmo?
Only applies to Verizon because their phones are unlocked sprint and AT&T phones have to be unlocked first before anything which is semi a pain but oh well

However, Verizon customers are required to pay $15 a month for T-Mobile's Premium Device Protection Plus insurance program. The
insurance program protects the iPhone from loss, theft or damage.

So what happenes if I switch, i get my prepaid card, then decide to cancel the insurance 2 mos later???

Does it have to be a new account? Also what's the time frame to get the reimbursement?

Interesting question. I wonder how T-Mobile plans on avoiding that kind of sleazy behavior or if they're simply accepting that risk as the cost of doing business.

I read somewhere else (sorry, I don't have a link) that T-Mo won't force you to keep the insurance.

60 days is how long the Verizon phone has to be on that account before you can have T-Mobile pay it off.

Oh ok. It's not a bad deal overall from what it looks like.

It's a virtual card with money on it. After your waiting period is op they send you the card through SMS.

Depends on what proof you submit. The terms say 15 days to 30 days, with the latter being the wait period if you submit your final bill and the former being the wait period if you submit your phone balance. The proof needs to show your phone, phone number, balance, and number of payments.

Just a heads up on anyone waiting for their reimbursement. My wife and I came over from VZW on 5/31 both with Iphone 7 plus. I submitted the reimbursement stuff in store right away when we made the switch and was seeing a processing error on the switch2tmo site, but on 6/14 it went to approved and I got my virtual card. Already paid off VZW. So except for the confusing error, it was a smooth process. Happy so far overall. Building coverage by me sucks royally tho. SE Wisconsin 700MHZ B12 is owned by USCellular -_-

What did you submit? (Proof of the devices owed)

I just logged into verizon mobile from my phone and went to where you can see your upgrade options (I forgot what the menu was) but from there you can see when the payment plan was started and what the remaining balance due was if I wanted to upgrade right away.
