Thumbs down Amazon Message Anyone Else Get It?

Yesturday morning around 10AM-11AM I received a text message from a 919 number with the following image\

    Name: 19046710_10155380100584481_465218606_n.jpg

Did anyone else get this same message today? Is this spam or a virus or what?

I am willing to bet it is SPAM in an effort to get your phone # and possibly phish for user information. I would delete the message and not attempt to answer any questions.
If I'm annoyed and you're annoyed, does that make us a paranoid ??

Yeah I deleted the text message. How can they access your phone number more than how they did by sending me this message in the first place?

Is there a way to block all of these types of text messages and phone calls?

No telling how they got your cellular number, but clearly they got it. Responding to that type of message indicates they got a live number and will create even more SPAM.

A sender only has to know that it is a wireless telephone number to send SMS or MMS. The sender does not have to know to whom the number belongs. If you ever have sent email through your Apple ID, it indicated that you have either an iPhone, iPad, iPod or Mac. With the Apple ID, one does not even need to know the telephone number to send an iMessage.

What's in the picture is not a text message. Did you get a link in a text message, and then you clicked on the link? I saw the exact same thing as what's in your picture, but it was a popup that came up while I was looking at a web page.

This was a text message directed to my phone number. I did delete the message and everything with it.

Actually, if it were a text message there would have no graphics attached to the message. Looks like an email or a MMS.

Actually, that is a good thing. The message received by the OP was clearly SPAM garbage.
