They need to gain customers at any cost to make their quarterly numbers look better for the stock market

For me its hard to add more lines that I don't even need since compatible devices are expensive -- wish they would loosen up some device policies so cheap Android CDMA devices can be used on their network (GSM providers have plenty of cheap device options)

Looks like iPads are compatible according to the device list (wish they would allow cheaper Android tablets) -- anyone know how Sprint service works with iPads? If you port in a number can you still make regular calls with a headset or is the service data only?

I just switch from Verizon was paying 165 after taxes. Once I activate the sim card Port request took 15 minutes to finish. I had sprint before and I was happy with the service so I knew what I was getting into.

    Speedtest
    Band 25: 6 down/1 up
    Band 41: 66 Down/ 7 up

Unfortunately my house is not covered by band 41.
    Current carrier: Sprint (11/01/2017)
    Previous carriers: T-mobile & Verizon

Don't you always use broadband at your house anyway?

Did you just activate a new plan yesterday? Can you (or anyone who has registered a new account on or after Nov. 1st), please go to My Sprint and check your 'until date' of savings' as follows and report it back:

My sprint/dashboard, manage plan, +see details, shows 'until date' of savings.

    Thanks!

Anyone have luck switching the original phone to a different one after activating the free year? I came across an unlocked Moto E4 that is Sprint compatible and I'd like to use it on a free line I already have active, but Sprint acts like I'm speaking Chinese when I call them to ask about it.

The line currently has an iPhone 6S on it, so I assume at the very least I'll need a different SIM card. Beyond that I'm not sure what I need to as for for since their support is so completely inept.

Other than keep playing Customer Service Russian Roulette, anyone have any ideas?

Yes, I have. I bought a Moto G5 Plus to replace my Moto G4 Play. I tried to do the MEID swap online but kept getting an error and when I inserted my old SIM into the new device it locked the SIM. Next I went to a sprint store, they tried every SIM style they had in the store for post paid (I was there for 2 hours), none worked and the last guy that worked on it said it was trying to force a plan change anyway so back home I went and did more online research. The common denominator for activation success appeared to be that they had to buy a 3 in 1 BringYourOwnDevice SIM kit, like we bought in the beginning. I bought one at my local store came home and called customer service. It took a few minutes but they finally got the job done. It was a pain in the butt put once activated and provisioned it's been working flawlessly. I know that was a bit long winded but sometimes the details help. Good luck to you.

I could not activate my Open Market Moto E4 either. It seems to be a known issue that Sprint is not taking action on.

Did you purchase a new 3 way SIM kit? That's what it took to get my g5 plus activated.

Moto E4, E4 Plus, G5S Plus uses the 416Q SIM

Moto G5 Plus uses 506C or 446C SIM

Make sure you have the right SIM -- BB/Target sells a Boost triple SIM kit that you can buy locally (comes with SIMOLW416Q + SIMOLW506C + SIMOLW506TQ)

I activated the 3rd of November, it says free service until 1/31/2019.
I’m paying $4.16 of taxes on the first bill
